We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic leader and collaborative team environment who has a formidable reputation for coaching and mentorship. They are seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) current at the Manager level in public accounting exciting, dynamic, and high-visibility opportunity!
Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Support accounting, preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements.
• Prepare and review IFRS statements, financial reporting including regulatory CIRO entities.
• Lead inquiries from management, auditors and regulatory agencies on policy and procedures.
• Drive risk mitigation activities for accounting including technology, automation and streamlining processes.
• Evaluate & implement new accounting processes & controls for evolving business and emerging channels.
• Support business unit finance to identify new initiatives, activities to support accounting impacts.
• Mentorship to staff & oversight, review of workflow including coordination of offshore teams.
The company is offering a competitive compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary and annual bonus program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 5 years of progressive public accounting experience in regulatory sector is preferred.
• Strong technical accounting skills reporting under IFRS, US GAAP or CIRO
• Ability to multi-task, plan, problem solve, take initiative collaborating constructively with teams.
• Demonstrated ability to foster solid relationships, and/or lead cross functional activities.
• Excellent verbal & written communication including use of financial systems and reporting tools.
