Qualifications
2+ years of increased responsibility in an accounting environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Understanding financial statement relationships between balance sheet, income and cash flow statements
Knowledge of consolidated accounting practices
Strong Microsoft Excel user
Responsibilities
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for preparing property monthly financial packages and workpapers
Other duties will include overseeing the general ledger through monthly financial statements for company-wide entities
Prepare monthly GL account analysis and follow up on any necessary adjustments
Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows
Reviews and posts journal entries
Performs month-end closing duties
Prepares year end workpapers
Prepare and research certain monthly bank reconciliations
Special projects as needed
Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization

Overview:
• The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for preparing property monthly financial packages and workpapers. Other duties will include overseeing the general ledger through monthly financial statements for company-wide entities.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of increased responsibility in an accounting environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding financial statement relationships between balance sheet, income and cash flow statements
• Knowledge of consolidated accounting practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel user
