The Organization
The Town of Midland, home of the Midland Cultural Centre (MCC), is situated on the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay at the gateway to the 30,000 islands. Located in the downtown core, the MCC is a focal point for many of the cultural activities in North Simcoe and welcomes visitors to various performances, concerts, exhibitions and events, drawing local and provincial audiences. The completely accessible state-of-the-art facility features Rotary Hall, a 274-seat multi-purpose space, and an Indigenous Art Gallery. The Opportunity
The Midland Cultural Centre seeks a qualified Coordinator, Marketing & Community Engagement to join us in a permanent position dedicated to building audiences, telling stories, and connecting communities with opportunities to enjoy the MCC’s vibrant services, programs, and spaces. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role engages daily with patrons, artist representatives, local businesses, partner organizations and other members of the community to effectively market MCC events, services, and initiatives. The role ensures broad awareness about the important role played by the MCC as North Simcoe’s cultural gem and is a key member the organization’s dedicated staff team.
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years’ experience developing digital marketing campaigns and digital marketing content using platforms such as Mailchimp, Wix, Canva, Eventbrite, social media, Photoshop, iMovie, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (public speaking, writing, virtual, phone, in-person customer-service).
