Content Creator & Dog Training Specialist
Part-Time | 25 Hours per Week | On-Site | Burnley, Lancashire

We're looking for an enthusiastic Content Creator & Dog Training Specialist to become the face of our educational content and help build the next stage of the Total Pet brand.
This isn't a traditional dog training role.
It's an opportunity to educate thousands of dog owners every week through engaging content whilst providing virtual training support that helps customers get the very best results from our products.
About the Role
As the Total Pet Trainer, you'll become the educational face of the brand.
Approximately 70% of your role will involve planning, filming, editing and publishing engaging content, with the remaining 30% focused on supporting customers through our online training programmes and communities.
You'll work from our headquarters in Burnley, collaborating closely with our marketing and product teams to create high-quality educational content that helps grow the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation
You'll be responsible for planning, filming, editing and publishing engaging content across:
TikTok
Instagram
Facebook
YouTube
Creating content such as:
Short-form educational videos
Long-form YouTube training videos
Product demonstrations
Behaviour advice
Puppy training
Recall training
Loose lead walking
Customer FAQs
Myth-busting content
Behind-the-scenes content
Product launch videos
You'll take ownership of the entire content process—from planning and scripting through to filming, editing and publishing.
Educational Content
You'll create:
Training video courses
Product tutorials
Customer guides
Weekly educational emails
Training plans
Downloadable resources
Website content
Every piece of content should help customers achieve better results with their dogs whilst showcasing the correct use of Total Pet products.
Virtual Customer Training
A key part of the role will involve delivering online support to customers who purchase our premium training programmes.
This includes:
One-to-one virtual training sessions
Group virtual training classes
Weekly TikTok LIVE sessions
Customer Q&A sessions
WhatsApp community support
Helping customers use our products correctly and confidently
The aim is to provide customers with ongoing guidance and support, helping them achieve measurable improvements in areas such as lead walking, recall and everyday behaviour.
Typical Weekly Deliverables
10 short-form videos
1 long-form YouTube training video
2 TikTok LIVE sessions
1 educational customer email
Virtual one-to-one customer training sessions
Group virtual training sessions
Content planning and scripting
Filming and editing content
Community engagement and customer support
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Has practical dog training experience
Loves educating dog owners
Is confident speaking on camera
Enjoys filming and editing content
Is comfortable delivering virtual training sessions
Has an engaging, positive personality
Wants to become the recognised face of a growing UK dog brand
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of dog behaviour and reward-based training
Comfortable using and demonstrating dog training equipment
Confident handling dogs of different breeds and temperaments
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Comfortable being filmed and speaking directly to camera
Experience creating or editing video content
Passion for helping dog owners achieve real results
Desirable
Dog training qualifications
Experience running one-to-one sessions or group classes
Existing social media presence
Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
Photography or videography experience
Role Details
25 hours per week
Monday to Friday
On-site at Total Pet HQ, Burnley
£12.71–£15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
3-month probation period
