The Role
The role of the Content and Product Specialist is to support Product and Sales through the development and execution of broker communications – including rate updates. This position collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to create compelling, brand-aligned content that enhances the MCAP broker experience and influences broker behavior in support of business goals. This role supports MCAP’s multi-brand strategy.
The Content and Product Specialist includes (but is not limited to) these key areas of focus:
a) Rate Change Process and Deployment
b) Content Creation – Broker-Facing
c) Content Development – Internal Sales Team
d) Leveraging the Broker outreach platform (Salesforce and Marketing Cloud)
BDM Support – through developing and executing campaigns to support specific targets
Rate Change Process Deployment
Co-lead the end-to-end rate change process in partnership with the BIE Operations and Support teams, ensuring accuracy and timely execution across all brands.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing to coordinate the deployment of rate changes, including communication asset development, approvals, and tracking.
Act as a key contact for rate-related communication, ensuring clarity and consistency in all broker-facing messaging.
Content Creation – Broker-Facing
Create engaging written and visual content for digital and print, rooted in a deep understanding of MCAP’s multi-brand product suite, broker audiences, and the Canadian mortgage landscape.
End to end content creation for external broker facing audiences
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Sales, Credit, Marketing etc.) to gather inputs and secure necessary approvals.
Content Development – Internal Sales Team
Develop written and visual materials to support internal Sales goals, priorities, and training efforts.
Work with Product and Sales leadership to determine content positioning and delivery methods/tools/channels.
Support the training and sales communication needs of the BDM (Business Development Manager) Team nationally and across all brands.
Identify all key stakeholders for the purpose of obtaining approval and sign off.
Work with internal stakeholders to seek input and obtain business unit sign off
BDM Support
Partner with BDMs to develop campaign assets that support sales targets, product promotions, and broker engagement.
Create internal and external training materials and sales tools to enable success across the Sales team.
What You Bring To The Team
Experience working in a matrix environment – engaging key stakeholder for buy in teams
Proven track record in delivering projects on time and working with Sr. Executive staff
Experience in communication content development- both written and graphic (graphic design experience).
Experience in the Mortgage Industry and working with Mortgage Brokers is an asset
Skilled at working well with others in a team environment
Resourceful, innovative and creative problem solver
Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships, engaging others to contribute
Strong project management skills – attention to detail while staying focused on the overall objective
Strong computer skills (MS Office)
Graphic design - Must be able to design in HTML, as well as other design tools such as Adobe InDesign
Salesforce and Marketing Cloud – must be familiar with or willing to learn
Ability to work with, collaborate and influence internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Organized with attention to detail
College, University degree or business equivalent.
