Consultant And Doctor

The role includes performing and/or supervising procedures relevant to the clinician’s specialty, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The Consultant and Doctor will participate in on-call duties, manage emergency cases, and work closely with nursing, diagnostic, and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, using digital health systems, counseling patients and families, contributing to clinical audits and quality improvement, and supporting training or mentoring of junior clinicians and staff.
Qualifications
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (e.g., MD, MS, DNB, or equivalent).
• Valid registration with the appropriate medical council and eligibility to practice within the region.
• Strong clinical diagnosis and treatment skills, with experience in managing both outpatient and inpatient cases.
• Demonstrated experience in emergency and critical care management appropriate to the specialty.
• Ability to use electronic medical records and digital healthcare tools for documentation, ordering, and follow-up.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine.
• Effective communication and counseling skills for interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a resource-conscious, rural or semi-urban setting and openness to community-oriented healthcare initiatives.
• Experience with quality improvement, clinical audits, or protocol development is an advantage.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, or training junior doctors, residents, or nursing staff is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in rotational duties, including weekends and on-call schedules, as required.
