Job Description
We design, manufacture, and distribute precision optical coating solutions and custom fabricated glass optical products via two different divisions. This position will be serving both our Santa Clarita, CA and Valencia, CA facilities. Ideal candidates will be located in Santa Paula, Fillmore, Valencia, Santa Clarita, San Fernando Valley, and/or Palmdale/Lancaster.
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project manager to help us combine existing facilities with the addition of a new unit. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with seeking bids, managing vendors, pulling crews together, organizing an equipment move from one facility to another and overseeing the installation of equipment. Your leadership will drive a culture of quality, fostering collaboration across teams and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional eager to complete a unique project within a specific timeframe.
General duties:
Create and implement a new plant layout.
Obtain electrical, air and water installation bids and manage vendors.
Organize and move equipment from Santa Paul to Valencia.
De-install and install equipment and perform operational tests.
Final clean-up of Santa Paula facility.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Create functional layout with operations team.
Contact vendors/contractors to obtain and negotiate bids and contracts for electrical, air, water and equipment installations.
Move equipment from Santa Paula to Valencia.
Install equipment with contractors and maintenance team.
Test all equipment after installation to confirm operational status.
Follow all company safety rules and and policies to maintain a safe workplace.
Assist with final clean up at Santa Paula facility.
Interface directly with crew members, vendors and maintenance team to understand, manage and resolve issues.
Responsibilities-Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised:
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including hiring crew members, coordinating vendor bids, scheduling vendors and crews, moving/installing equipment and managing all aspects of project from start to finish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
English verbal and written is necessary. Spanish verbal and written is a plus.
Computer fluency is required, especially Microsoft Office.
Construction and construction management experience is required, ideally with an industrial background.
CNC and other equipment installation experience is required.
Experience with water and air systems is required.
Knowledge of industrial manufacturing methods and general practices.
Full understanding of ISO 9001 standards requirements and compliance.
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
