Role Overview
The Computer Science Teacher is responsible for delivering theoretical and practical instruction in computer science and information technology. The teacher will help students develop digital literacy, computational thinking, and technical skills through interactive lessons, hands-on lab activities, and project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
Plan and deliver lessons on
Computer Science, ICT, programming, and digital skills

Teach topics such as:
Basics of computers
Operating systems
Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT)
Internet safety and digital citizenship
Coding languages (e.g., Scratch, Python, Java – based on level)
Basic hardware and software concepts
Conduct
practical sessions
in the computer lab.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assignments.
Curriculum & Assessment
Design and evaluate assessments, quizzes, lab activities, and projects.
Track and report student progress regularly.
Integrate new technology and innovative teaching methods into lessons.
Classroom & Lab Management
Maintain an orderly and safe
computer lab environment
.
Ensure proper use and handling of computer equipment.
Report technical issues and coordinate with IT support when needed.
Student Support & Engagement
Assist students with practical work and troubleshooting.
Provide extra support for slow learners and advanced tasks for fast learners.
Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Professional Responsibilities
Participate in training workshops, staff meetings, and school events.
Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education.
Maintain academic records and documentation as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, IT, or related field
(B.Ed preferred for schools).
Proficiency in basic computer operations and programming concepts.
Teaching experience in schools/colleges is an advantage.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
