t’s an exciting time to join ING, Australia’s most recommended bank, for the 3rd year running and we’re looking for an experienced Compliance Manager – Prudential Governance (CCE) within the Compliance team.

As Compliance Manager –Prudential Governance you’ll play a hands-on role in providing end-to-end compliance advice, assessment, validation, challenge and support to stakeholders covering prudential standards and breach assessments.

In this role, you will also support Compliance in pro-actively developing, managing and maintaining a best practice compliance framework, and enhancing systems and processes to ensure that ING is compliant by desire and design.

What you’ll do
Work closely with business units to remain in compliance with applicable laws, industry
standards and internal policy without minimising strategic business objectives
Drive increase in prudential risk knowledge across the business and risk leads
Take a proactive stance in promoting and maintaining an effective and sustainable
compliance culture throughout the organisation
Work closely with the Operations Risk department and the APRA Breach Reporting team to assess the events and incidents that have an impact on the Compliance Obligations and liaison with the business units to address the issues noted.
Provide expert compliance advice to support the business on prudential standards
Assess potential breaches of prudential standards and draft memorandum for decision makers

What we’re looking for
5+ years of relevant experience in a second line role in prudential and/or APRA SME related
Sound understanding of prudential standards, guidance and related processes
Good understanding and proven working knowledge of legal, regulatory and applicable global standards;
Financial services experience
Demonstrated capacity to interpret and translate prudential obligations into practical and workable policies and guidelines (and breach assessments)
Stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate in a professional manner, build strong rapport, and assist the business to embed compliance culture and practices
Ability to support product expansion and associated establishment of new compliance frameworks in line with global policies and framework.
