Job description – Communication Manager/ Lead
Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan (remote working is not an option)
About Us
Client is a not-for-profit initiative working on of energy and climate governance.
Based in Jaipur, we focus on sub-national policy priorities and institutions in the thematic.
We strive to achieve transformational change through critical research and democratic dialogues.
Client has been undertaking critical work in electricity governance, clean energy transition, just transition, sustainable agriculture, mobility transitions, climate adaptation and other related fields.
About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic person who can support in amplifying the voice of our work and enable content creation for meaningful engagement with a diverse set of stakeholders. The candidate shall be expected to facilitate and manage the convergence of research, advocacy, outreach, and capacity building. Excellent editing and publishing skills are desired.
Job Functions:
• Supporting internal and external community strategy aligned with organisation’s mission and objectives
• Manage end-to-end development of internal and external collaterals (blogs, newsletters, articles, reports, policy papers, press releases, etc)
• Impact communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage all internal communication assets (website, social media, etc)
• Engage with research teams to identify specific communications requirements and support project level communication strategies
• Support research teams in communication and outreach
• Plan and execute initiatives to build communication capabilities across the team
• Open for Travel for events and to fields: (40%)
• An added advantage, if someone bring forth prior Experience working in Climate Change, Power and Energy domain
Qualification: Post-Graduation in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English Literature or related fields, with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience and a proven track record
Key Requirements:
• Excellent writing, editing and publishing skills, along with ability to articulate multi-dimensional narratives in a simple manner
• Ability to calibrate communications to meaningfully engage diverse stakeholders and agencies
• Ability to foster consistent meaningful engagement with key stakeholders
• High level of maturity and strong interpersonal skills
• Understanding of energy sector and climate change paradigms shall be preferred
