Job Title: Commis All Level
Reports to: Senior Chef/Cook
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and mincing ingredients
- Learn and execute basic cooking techniques, such as boiling, steaming, sautéing, and roasting
- Prepare and present dishes as instructed by senior staff
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Assist in receiving and storing ingredients, managing inventory, and minimizing waste
- Develop knowledge of kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and support
- Follow recipes, instructions, and menus provided by senior staff
- Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Basic culinary training or apprenticeship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
