Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Insulator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining insulation systems across a variety of commercial projects. Duties
Measure, cut, and install insulation materials on piping and ductwork according to project specifications and drawings
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of insulation systems
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure insulation materials
Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure insulation is properly sealed and finished for optimal performance
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate installation activities
Perform quality checks on installed insulation to meet safety standards and project requirements
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Requirements
Proven experience in construction insulation installation or related trades with a focus on commercial projects
Strong knowledge of construction material requirements
Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in insulation work
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with various insulation materials
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and building systems
Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols and site logistics
Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
