About the role
Join ACMI as a Collections Technician (casual) and support digitisation, preservation, programming and innovation projects plus the ongoing management of the ACMI Collection. Reporting to the Time-based Media Conservator, the role also assists in the maintenance and storage of works as well as supporting registration and conservation activities.
What you'll bring to the role
Qualifications relevant to film and video preservation and/or equivalent training and experience working with audio-visual materials.
Demonstrated experience with film and magnetic tape video handling, playback and maintenance of associated equipment.
Experience with or knowledge of film and magnetic tape video digitisation processes and video editing software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
Well-developed administrative and organisation skills, including time management, attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing demands.
What we offer
This Grade 2 role is offered on a casual basis with a casual hourly rate of $35.83 plus super. Most shifts occur weekdays between +am-5pm.
