Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Guidewire Business Analyst with Wheatley insurance experience, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to business analysis, requirements gathering, and implementing Guidewire solutions within the insurance domain.

Business Analyst, - WINS – GUIDEWIRE:
Commercial Insurance experience with a good understanding of insurance financials, as well as Commercial lines of business such as Workers Compensation, GL, Auto, and Property.
Business Analysis for Admitted Regulatory Reporting and Maintenance Support for the Guidewire Implementations
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide clearly defined mapping requirements for legacy WINS data extracts (and some reports) to the Guidewire (GW) development team.
• Work with the GW Development team to further refine and tweak the output results based on the requirements.
• Use proven process where the BA work’s and QA’s output with BI Developers to create/refine extracts/reports and obtains UAT sign off from the Business.
• Look for ways to improve upon the current process.
• Build relationships within the business units and support functions to understand the business needs.
• Help facilitate the UAT execution phase.
• Identify and track outstanding issues.
• Assist project manager and other team members as needed.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Commercial Insurance experience with a good understanding of insurance financials, as well as Commercial lines of business such as Workers' Compensation, GL, Auto, and Property.
• Expertise with all aspects of requirements and testing processes.
• Detail-oriented and good data analytical abilities, SQL a plus.
• Guidewire Experience a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Be able to handle multiple priorities and proactively identify risks to project timelines.
• Team player who works well with technical and business resources.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Expertise in all aspects of requirements and testing processes.
• Detail-oriented and good analytical abilities.
• Skilled at working across organizational boundaries, bringing together people with diverse perspectives and experience to find solutions.
• Strong written and verbal (business) communication skills.
• Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines.
• Be able to handle multiple priorities and proactively identify risks to project timelines.
• Team player who works well with technical and business resources.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• B.A / B.S degree.
• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) is a plus, but not required.
• CPCU Designation or advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
