Dieffenbacher North America Inc., located in Windsor, Ontario, is looking for full-time and permanent Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinists (NOC 72100). The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations; be able to solve more complex machining/production-related issues.
Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations; write and/or modify CNC programs for milling machines and lathes based on process specifications.
Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools; perform finishing operations such as deburring and chamfering.
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Process improvements for cost reduction programs i.e. analyze tool wear and modify programs to improve tooling cost per piece.
Ensure daily maintenance of equipment and maintain inspection records and complete daily quality control documentation.
May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
Hours of work are 40 hours a week Mon-Fri (overtime paid after 44 hours/week). Pay is $36.92/hour and receive health benefits . Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on machining experience.
