Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer - Planning & Billing (Buildings) will oversee and manage all aspects of building construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Oversight: Supervise daily construction activities, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Quality Control: Ensure that construction work adheres to engineering plans, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address issues promptly.
• Compliance: Monitor adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Ensure all permits and documentation are obtained and maintained.
• Budget Management: Track project expenses and progress, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget. Report on financial status and address any cost overruns or discrepancies.
• Schedule Management: Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen delays or changes.
• Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and project teams. Provide regular updates and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.
• Safety: Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and procedures. Conduct safety training and drills as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, changes, and inspections. Prepare and submit progress reports and other necessary documentation to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with a strong background in building construction.
Skills:
