Job Description
Investment Bank Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Management business areas.
Our specialist QA group is a global team dedicated to delivering software of the highest quality to our business.
Pyramid is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing derivatives in the Investment Bank. It is used by Equity Derivatives, Credit Hybrids, and Credit Flow and Commodity Exotics businesses globally.
The Risk Management suite facilitates tracking and displaying a traders risk exposure, considering market moves as well as trades executed. This allows the traders to make appropriate hedging decisions.
The platform uses a range of technologies including Java, C#, .Net, C++, and Sybase/SQL on Windows and Linux platforms.

The Role
We are looking to recruit a Tester for functional and technical tests for the EQ - Trade Management space. Working in the EVO QA team, the successful candidate should have a strong technical background with excellent manual testing along with any coding language exp. Like Java, Specflow, Selenium, Cypress, UNIX shell scripting and SQL skills as well as being able to demonstrate a track record of delivery in complex fast moving environments. Excellent communication skills will be vital as the successful candidate will be required to assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems. The successful candidate should have in-depth experience of testing complex multi layered, multi-technology software applications. This is an extremely demanding and hands-on role and the ideal candidate will be expected to work with subject matter experts and technical developers, defining and executing testing strategies for leading-edge software development.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform functional testing and ensure regression quality
• Design, enhance and maintain automation testing frameworks that will meet business demands including complex migration processes, bulk data management tools, managed user testing and many other scenarios.
• Automate and maintain regression test suites using C#/Specflow, Java/Selenium framework.
• Work with subject matter experts and technical development leads to define and execute testing strategies
• Continually reviewing and adding to existing test packs, whilst taking a strategic view on the evolving technology stack.
• Design and implement tools/utilities to automate QA processes - including app development and maintenance.
• Producing summary and detailed testing estimates.
• Driving testing automation and efficiency gains.
Essential Skills
• Proven track record in manual testing concept
• Good Learner of application functionality/flow
• Proven track record in QA software deliverables including defining and executing testing strategies
• Good knowledge on one of the following Programming languages - Java, C#
• BDD automation frameworks design using - Java/Selenium/Cucumber or C#/Specflow/White API
• Server-side and message based testing.
• SQL, UNIX/Linux.
• Test estimation, scheduling and reporting progress.
• Confidence in communicating
