Responsibilities
The Engineering Manager has responsibility for Scoping, Estimating and completion of internal Quotation documentation
This also includes the Project Management of the installation of Christeyns Engineering Equipment, MIS systems and ancillary equipment from order placement ending after the customer approved commissioning
Whilst adhering to the company’s vison, purpose, and values
Ensure all resources whether internal or external have suitable training, knowledge to undertake tasks required
Ensure all Health and Safety training is kept up to date
Ensure all accidents, injuries and near misses are reported to the Engineering manager and logged in Q-pulse
To support the Health and Safety Manager with any investigations required
Adhere to the Company Health & Safety policy regarding them self and others
To ensure site assessment checklists are completed where possible for installations as part of the initial site survey, these are to be reviewed with the Laundry Field Team and stored within the project folders
To assist the Health and Safety manager in compiling Health & Safety procedures in line with current legislation
To ensure the field employees / subcontractors are aware of the requirements of equipment and installation for each job
To ensure that appropriate materials are available
To provide details of time constraints to field employees of installations of equipment
To ensure the field employees / subcontractors are aware of the standard of quality to which they must work
To be responsible for all installations and follow up should any problem arise from a job
To see that equipment and installation meet or exceed the best practice guidelines
To ensure all projects have a suitable kick off meeting with all stakeholders and periodic visits to site to ensure an adequate quality of installation is being achieved
To commission or ensure sufficient resources are in place to commission the installations
To train employees on Christeyns engineering equipment and MIS systems ensuring that all relevant training paperwork and certificates are documented, and copies stored in the relevant project folder
Technical Support and Best Practice
To become the lead technical support for engineering and the Laundry Field Team in relation to the equipment we install
Technical troubleshooting on the phone or on site to support the engineers and contractors during the commissioning process
Provide input into Training team for equipment training requirements
Drive best practice in the team through leading by example includes but not limited to management and completion of documentation used on customer projects
To train Christeyns employees on Christeyns engineering equipment and MIS systems ensuring that all relevant training paperwork and certificates are documented and updated in skill station
To provide field employees or subcontractors with an accurate Scope of work and Layout drawings where applicable for all projects prior to any work commencing
To provide field sales employees with time forecasts of jobs
To keep project folders up to date with all the relevant project documentation
To ensure all projects are signed off and completed paperwork is recorded in the project folder
To ensure all designs and drawings of equipment in use is stored within the project folders
To design and develop equipment when this is the most appropriate solution to a problem
To develop existing equipment to improve its performance
To maintain the correct level of knowledge and advise of any problems encountered and improvement opportunities
To keep abreast of current wiring regulations and ensure all installations are to that standard
To be aware of the latest information relating to materials compatibility
To ensure the correct level of manpower is in place to achieve installations within the timescale and cost forecast
To liaise with Field employees to ensure they are present during key stages of the project i.e
To advise of any resource problems
To ensure projects are delivered within budget through effective cost and time management
To ensure change management is in place throughout the execution of projects and all changes are documented within the change register
To ensure standard configurators are used when selecting equipment, these configurators need to be stored within the project folders
Compliance with all Company policies, procedures and statutory requirements
To be aware of and comply with Company policy relating to the operation of the Division
To be aware of and comply with correct procedures and statutory requirements

Christeyns North America is a privately-owned organization considered the experts in supplying detergents and related chemical products to the commercial marketplace. Specializing in high-quality laundry, kitchen (ware wash) and housekeeping products, we focus on providing the best products and service to industries such as hospitality, healthcare, and athletics.

We are currently seeking a Engineering Manager to join the Christeyns North America family. The Engineering Manager has responsibility for Scoping, Estimating and completion of internal Quotation documentation. This also includes the Project Management of the installation of Christeyns Engineering Equipment, MIS systems and ancillary equipment from order placement ending after the customer approved commissioning. Whilst adhering to the company’s vison, purpose, and values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include the following:

Health and Safety:
• Ensure all resources whether internal or external have suitable training, knowledge to undertake tasks required
• Ensure all Health and Safety training is kept up to date
