Overview
Enchanting Entertainment is a small business delivering unforgettable parties across London and Surrey. Although we started just 6/7 months ago, due to a high demand, we are looking to bring someone special onto the team to create magical moments for children. This is an exciting time to join us as you would be the first person to work with the owner meaning there is an opportunity for growth within the business, whether that be to manage your own team of entertainers or work on other areas of the business such as social media!

We are looking for an engaging Children's Entertainer to create unforgettable moments for kids and their families during special events such as Birthdays, Christmas, Christenings and more. This role involves captivating children (both boys and girls) through high-energy and interactive performances, singing, and other organised activities.

We need someone who has a passion for bringing authenticity to their character performances, has a high-energy and engaging personality and is willing to go above and beyond to make each event special.

This is the ideal position for someone who is in training or has recently graduated from a Musical Theatre course and is looking for weekend work to support their income.

Responsibilities

Keep ALL children entertained during events by leading activities such as, storytelling, interactive games, singing, dancing and others
Maintain a lively, energetic and authentic presence throughout performances
Ensure the safety of all participants during activities and performances
Adapt performances to suit different age groups and event themes
Collaborate with the company owner and customers to plan suitable entertainment programmes
Demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with parents, guardians, and event staff
Maintain and keep to a high standard all wigs, costumes, accessories and equipment
Remain professional and in-character for the duration of your interaction with the public, customers and teammates
Keep up-to-date on relevant information and knowledge that contributes to your character such as names, phrases, songs etc
Qualifications

You must hold a DBS certificate
Hold a UK Driver's License and own a car (to protect the authenticity of the character and integrity of the costumes, in most cases it will not be possible to go on public transport)
Background in singing, dancing, acting and performing in general. A professional qualification such as a Bachelor of Arts is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills suitable for engaging children of various ages
Creative mindset with the ability to organise fun activities spontaneously
Friendly and approachable demeanor
Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and a genuine love for entertaining are key
Ability to work flexibly at different locations and adapt to varying event requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity for energetic individuals passionate about entertaining children while developing their performance talents in a dynamic environment
Full party training will be provided
