Job Description
2-4 years of relevant experience, specialized postsecondary training, or an associate degree in chemistry or equivalent field ·
Excellent communications skills in both spoken and written English ·
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook ·
Overtime may be required particularly during peak seasons or specific project deadlines ·
Problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively ·

Responsibilities
Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support quality assurance, new product development, and product/process improvement objectives ·
Carry out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analysis ·
Prepare chemical standards, collecting samples for analysis, and shipping customer samples ·
Constructing, maintaining, and operating standard laboratory equipment (i.e., titrators, pH meters, colorimeters, viscometers, gas chromatographs, etc.)
Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked, properly equipped, and well organized ·
Maintaining laboratory records with respect to current procedures, test data, and calibration records ·
Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues ·
Use computers and perform mathematical calculations to interpret and present analytical results ·
Keep up to date with technical developments (time saving & improve reliability methods) ·
Conduct searches on identified topics relevant to research ·
Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks ·
Provide special assistance as required by production or during plant/customer trials ·
Other job duties/requirements may be assigned or changed to adapt to business needs ·

Job description
CHEM Group is a custom chemical processor with expertise in various distillation technologies, pastillation, blending, reaction chemistry purification and heat transfer fluids. We are currently looking for a 2nd shift Chemical Lab Technician in Evansville, IN. Starting pay is $20/hr - $24/hr depending on experience. 2nd shift hours: 4pm to 1am (Day shift hours will be required until training is complete) What do I have to do? ·
