Our Neuroepidemiology group integrates epigenetics, public health, brain science, and molecular biology to pioneer primary prevention strategies and slow disease progression, particularly in conditions like multiple sclerosis (MS).

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated casual administrative officer to help drive our innovative research projects forward. You’ll play a key role in supporting our team through coordinating activities, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to scientific communications that explore how early environmental factors and genetics influence brain disorders.

Your responsibilities include:
Provide vital administrative support for the Neuroepidemiology team, including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes
Assist with drafting project reports, grant proposals, literature reviews, and scientific publications
Collaborate in team meetings and contribute to the group’s ongoing research efforts
Manage budgeting, HR coordination, and general office duties alongside the Research Group Head
Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that supports innovation, equity, diversity, and wellbeing
Participate in campus initiatives promoting gender equity, diversity, inclusion, and mental health

What we need from you:
A high-quality tertiary qualification (completed or in progress) in a relevant field or related discipline
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience or training demonstrating relevant expertise and professionalism
Ability to build positive working relationships and thrive both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in MS Office and strong organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities
