A successful candidate is someone who knows how to operate a cash register and product scanner with ease. Their primary responsibilities include accepting payments and providing receipts, ensuring all transactions run smoothly, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate must be able to interact with customers in a friendly manner, provide assistance as needed, and possess excellent communication skills to help us continue to delight our customers and provide them with an outstanding experience.

A qualified candidate should also be able to follow instructions and be a valuable team member. Previous experience is beneficial, and strong math and multitasking skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting customers upon entry and exit
Managing transactions using a cash register
Balancing the cash register
Scanning goods and verifying pricing and quantities
Accepting payments via cash, credit, or check
Providing change and receipts
Issuing coupons, vouchers, stamps, and gift cards
Processing returns and refunds, resolving customer complaints
Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for safe transport
Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
