Job Description

McLoughlin Decorating is an award-winning contractor who has worked on some of the most iconic London projects. We have been trading for over 30 years and have a reputation second to none for delivering our projects to meet the needs of our clients. We carry out contracts ranging in value from £10,000 to £4,000,000.

Join our repairs team as a skilled Carpenter. We are a reputable construction company known for our high-quality work and commitment to excellence. As a Carpenter with us, you will play a crucial role in various projects requiring precision and craftsmanship, for projects in London, Home Counties and further afield occasionally.

Responsibilities:

Utilize your expertise in carpentry to fabricate and assemble structures according to specifications.
Perform electrical work related to carpentry projects.
Conduct roof repairs and installations as needed.
Use a variety of power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to move materials and equipment.
Demonstrate proficiency in masonry and joinery techniques.
Execute painting tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects, would be a bonus.
Comply with Health and Safety policies, processes and procedures.
Use company mobile apps as instructed

Experience:

Proven experience as a skilled carpenter
Familiarity with a wide range of carpentry tools and techniques.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
Knowledge of electrical work related to carpentry projects is a plus.
Experience with masonry, joinery, and painting is highly desirable.

Requirements

Must hold a valid CSCS Card
Must have own tools that comply with health and safety regulations
Hold a clean full drivers’ licence for a minimum of 2 years
Own vehicle is desired to begin with, with the opportunity of moving to a company vehicle
Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Experience within the construction industry is desired
Paid fortnightly

14 year contract with housing body comprising of 14,000 properties
7 year contract with housing body
