Job Description
The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB). If qualified, should hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
As a trainee, you are required to have a degree in human physiology or equivalent. Full practical training and educational support will be given. You will study towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology through distance learning at Otago university. Alongside this, you will study towards the SCT New Zealand Diploma in Cardiac Physiological Measurement level 6 (DipCPM) in the 1st year and Certification of Cardiac Physiologists (CCP) in the 2nd year. Together, these courses provide the practical and theoretical learning to complete the clinical work. On completion of all courses, you will become registered as a Clinical Cardiac Physiologist.
Additionally, our ideal candidate will have:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work as part of a busy multidisciplinary team
