Job Description
Job title: Car Groomer
Job location/region: Queenstown
Number of positions for this job: 5 positions available.
Employment type: Permanent / Full-time
Days required: Monday to Sunday (rotation shift)
Hours per week: Minimum 36 hours per week, between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (rotation shift)
Hourly rate band: from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour (gross) depending on experience and skills.
Job Description
Clean, wash, vacuum, polish and detail rental vehicles to a high standard.
Prepare vehicles for customer collection, ensuring they are clean, presentable and meet company quality standards.
Inspect vehicles before and after grooming and accurately complete vehicle condition check sheets.
Identify and report any vehicle damage, maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Work efficiently to meet operational deadlines and daily vehicle preparation targets.
Prioritise vehicle grooming tasks in consultation with the Grooming Team Leader.
Maintain grooming equipment, wash bays and work areas in a clean, safe and organised condition.
Follow company health and safety procedures and report hazards or incidents.
Drive vehicles between company branches, service providers, storage facilities and other authorised locations as required.
Provide courteous customer service when interacting with customers, including assisting with courtesy shuttle transfers when required.
Job pre-requisites:
Previous experience in vehicle grooming, cleaning or customer service would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Must hold a New Zealand full driver's licence or an equivalent overseas valid driver's licence
Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks, including standing, bending, lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to pass a pre-employment police check and random drug testing
Two contactable referees.
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
