managing the canteen and catering services, and working in a hands-on capacity, to provide students, staff and other customers with high quality, wholesome and nutritionally balanced food ensuring that the canteen and catering services are well-run, cost-effective and financially self-supporting leading and developing a professional and enthusiastic team, ensuring that they are well trained and supported managing health and safety requirements and ensuring compliance with all food-related regulations and guidelines maintaining an awareness and adoption of sustainability practices throughout the canteen and catering service
