Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Camera Assistant/Light Man to support our production team. This role involves assisting with camera setup, lighting, and equipment management to ensure smooth filming operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of camera and lighting equipment, possess technical skills in working with electricity. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in film and video production within a dynamic creative environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with setting up and maintaining camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, and stabilizers
Manage lighting setups to achieve desired visual effects under the direction of the director or cinematographer
Ensure all camera gear is properly maintained, organized, and ready for shoots
Support the team in adjusting lighting and camera angles during filming to capture optimal shots
Operate or assist with operation of basic camera functions as needed
Collaborate with the production crew to coordinate equipment needs and troubleshoot technical issues on set
Maintain safety protocols during equipment handling and setup
Experience
Prior experience working on film or video productions is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Basic understanding of lighting techniques and camera operation is desirable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
This role provides valuable exposure to professional production environments and the opportunity to develop technical skills in both camera operation and post-production editing.
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
