CAD & Textile Designer (Mumbai Suburban)

Key Responsibilities:-

- Develop textile prints, patterns, motifs, artworks, and garment graphics based on seasonal trends and buyer requirements.
- Create original design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and print stories.
- Develop all-over prints, placement prints, engineered prints, border designs, stripe designs, and conversational prints.
- Prepare CAD artworks and repeat patterns for fabric printing.
- Create and modify colorways and print variations as per buyer requirements.
- Develop designs suitable for woven and knitted garments.
- Prepare accurate artwork files for screen printing, digital printing, embroidery, and other surface techniques.
- Coordinate with the printing and production teams to ensure the artwork is technically suitable for production.
- Prepare print layouts, color separations, repeats, and production-ready files.
- Check print scale, placement, repeat size, color accuracy, and overall artwork quality.
- Work on strike-offs, lab dips, print samples, and sample approvals.
- Make necessary corrections and revisions based on buyer feedback.
- Coordinate with merchandisers and designers regarding buyer comments, artwork approvals, and sample developments.
- Research international fashion trends, textile trends, prints, colors, motifs, and market developments.
- Develop designs according to buyer tech packs, specifications, references, and brand guidelines.
- Maintain an organized database of CADs, artworks, prints, colorways, approvals, and revisions.
- Ensure all designs are developed within the required T&A; and sampling timelines.
- Coordinate with fabric and sourcing teams for suitable fabric bases and surface applications.
- Support the design team in developing seasonal collections and buyer presentations.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable, production-friendly, and cost-effective.
- Maintain proper records of approved artwork and production files.
