Interspace Design Limited is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will be confident in their craft and capable of producing precise, high-standard work. As part of the role, candidates may be required to travel within the region. All travel expenses will be covered by the employer.
Job Responsibilities include:
Select appropriate materials, fittings, and tools based on project requirements.
Measure and cut materials accurately according to specifications.
Interpret drawings, samples, and specifications to ensure precise execution of work.
Work with various timber types including hardwood, softwood, veneers, particleboard, and engineered wood products.
Plan and organise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and project timelines.
Restore and refurbish furniture and fittings as needed.
Apply detailed craftsmanship and finishing touches to joinery and furniture pieces.
Manufacture both standard and custom components as per project needs.
Assemble cabinet and joinery parts into complete finished products.
Apply surface finishes such as sealants, varnishes, or paint as required.
Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $40 per hour.
Our Requirements for the role:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship
Physically fit and able to work independently or in a team
Availability to work weekends
Skills to handle hand tools or basic machinery
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently
Positive and cooperative team attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
