Business Territory Manager, Biopharma and Pharma
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Territory Management: Develop and execute a territory growth plan focused on expanding market share across biopharma and pharma segments in South India.
• Customer Engagement & Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Sales Execution & Pipeline Management: Drive the full sales cycle from opportunity generation to closure, ensuring consistent pipeline health and accurate forecasting.
• Solution Selling: Position and promotion of different solutions aligned with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, application scientists, service teams, and product specialists to deliver integrated customer experiences.
• Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and emerging trends to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
• Account Planning & Performance Tracking: Develop account plans with clear objectives, KPIs, and action steps; regularly review performance against targets for the team.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all activities adhere to internal policies and external regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer internally, driving feedback loops to improve offerings and service delivery.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• A bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in a science discipline such as chemistry, biochemistry, biological sciences, or other related fields is required.
• Over 12-15 years in Sales, Account Management, or Business Leadership in Pharma, BioPharma, or Applied Markets, including at least 5 years managing people.
• Expert knowledge of BioPharma and Pharma markets
• Comprehensive knowledge of the analytical instrument industry landscape.
• Consistently achieved or surpassed sales objectives, contributing to substantial growth in market share.
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, and sales management guided by data.
• Ability to lead teams and support employee development.
Travel Requirement: 40-50%
