Job Description
Paytm is Indias leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on

empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI,
Paytm Payments Bank Net banking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later.
To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway
where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks financial instruments. To
further enhance merchants business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through
advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then
offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its
financial partners.
About Team :
The Business Finance team partners with the business team to drive growth sustainably. The
team drives efficiency in the investment being made to drive topline and business metrics.
Focus remains on improving margins and minimizing financial risks by understanding the key
business drivers, analyze key financial metrics, provide value add analysis, support to sales /
finance management (variance analysis, budget analysis, financial forecasting etc)
About the role:
Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to concern teams.
Expectations/ Requirements:
Planning:
1. Work with business and finance leaders in building the annual operating plan and
departmental budgets
2. Develop comprehensive project plans to evaluate new business proposals
Reporting:
1. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
2. track project/department performance to analyze the successful completion of short and
long-term plans
Controlling:
1. Work with general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable,
accounts receivable and taxes; assess current practices and procedures, and make
recommendations for the improvements
2. Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate
financial controls audit
Business Partnering:
1. Act as a central finance POC for respective departments/business segments
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for compatibility and pacing of all aspects of
ongoing projects
Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
1. Qualified as Chartered Accountant with 0 to 2 years of progressive accounting experience
2. Thorough knowledge of Ind AS/GAAP
3. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
4. Cohesively work with a lot of people, across functions and teams every day
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial systems such as SAP.
