The BOP Engineer or Substation Engineer is an exciting role position providing support for centralized team and extend support for the coordination, harmonization, and support of Sales and tendering processes, analyze and support bidding strategies and design, methods, tools, best practices, and key performance indicators for the APAC Region. Suitable for dynamic and strong candidates this role requires quick learning, strong and can do attitude
Responsibilities:-
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the Electrical Design activities for Balance of plant design in a Battery Energy Storage systems.
• Prepare specification document and RFQ’s for sub-contractor and vendors for the products and solutions including civil constructions of sites.
• Prepare and co-ordinate Division of responsibilities with Civil and construction partners. - Equipment design, Selection of equipment’s and work with Sub vendors to meet business Targets.
• Communicate and co-ordinate commercial contracts with contractors and vendors to meet business targets.
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them to the contractors and vendors.
• Maintain Bid schedule by monitoring Sales and negotiation progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Review and finalize technical specification for EHV line, Substation and other Electrical activities for the project.
• Take the lead in identifying and evaluating proposals from BOP contractors to support system integration and identify risks and create risk mitigation plans.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the relevant Sales and project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Working in close cooperation with Energy Storage project and engineering teams, lead the construction site activities for battery storage projects on lessons learned from previous projects.
• Answer questions and resolve issues brought forward by internal project team members, subcontractors, and customers.
• Prepare and deliver various scope related presentations, both internally and externally.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:-
• Bachelor's degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Working with dynamic and vibrant multi-cultural team across APAC region.
• Minimum 3 – 8 Years Experience in Electrical Design and complex tender management.
• Minimum 1 - 3 Years of Battery Energy storage System Experience or any similar Renewable experience
• Tender and Bid Management experience (opportunity based).
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to negotiate with key stakeholders, ability to develop relationships across all facets of business.
• Demonstrated sales and client focused acumens - Ability to analyze the bring the best cases for business decisions.
• Ability to professionally communicate at all levels including C level
• Understanding / ability to work in a complex matrix organization
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle pressure, to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging and highly interactive deadline-driven environment
• Periodic travel within APAC is a potential requirement
