Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. As a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant at Eccountify, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of our clients an daily running of operations.
Responsibilities:
Recording Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording day-to-day transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable.
Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to support decision-making processes.
Tax Preparation Support: Assist in preparing necessary documentation for tax filings.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients to address inquiries, provide financial updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Payroll Processing: Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Handle payroll-related tasks, including taxes and deductions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software QuickBooks Online.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Payroll experience is preferred.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Personal and corporate tax experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with Profile and or any other tax software is preferred.
Education and Experience:
Diploma and/or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus.
3 years of experience in bookkeeping or related roles is preferred.
