Job Description
We believe ALL scholars, regardless of race, background, income or ability, can achieve at high levels. We work relentlessly to ensure 100% of scholars are on a path to go to and graduate from a college of their choice, beginning in the fifth grade.
Opening our doors in 2015 with 92 fifth grade scholars, THA will grow to serve over 1,400 scholars in grades 5-12 across our three schools in the 2026-2027 academic year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Tulsa Honor Academy’s Communications Coordinator will build upon THA’s current brand identity to attract prospective scholars and staff, coordinate internal and external communications, and create content for a variety of platforms to engage THA’s many stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to conduct storytelling and have a desire to think outside of the box to engage diverse audiences. A strong candidate will display a commitment to representing the THA Familia well in our community and across the state.

Core Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: The Communications Coordinator implements strategies related to communications to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Media Liaison: The Communications Coordinator will serve as THA’s media liaison and ensure THA is positively featured often in local, state and national news.
Content Creation: The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing a variety of content for an array of platforms, including for social media channels, website, newsletters, etc.
Website: The Communications Coordinator will manage THA’s website and ensure that information is fresh, timely and accurate.
Collateral Creation: The Communications Coordinator will create and edit a range of materials for various campaigns or needs, including one-pagers, publications, meeting materials, swag, and more in line with THA’s brand.
Maintain Branding: The Communications Coordinator will uphold and maintain THA’s branding and messaging guidelines in all digital and printed materials across THA’s Network.
THE DETAILS
Qualifications/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree highly required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field highly preferred.
Experience
Fluency In: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc), SEO
Preferred Fluency In: social media management and monitoring, website publishing, photography and video creation, advertising campaigns
Strong written and oral communications skills
Evidence of creating compelling and ROI-driven content
Evidence of executing communications strategy
Role
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Communications Coordinator will work on THA’s Network Team.
Full time, year round, non-exempt.
Compensation and Benefits
THA's starting compensation range for coordinators with a bachelor's degree begins at $47,000. Salary is commensurate with experience in the education field. THA’s compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.
