Backend Engineering Leadership

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Director of Engineering (Backend). In this role, you will be responsible for driving architecture decisions, writing production-grade code, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems. You will also be expected to mentor backend engineers, provide technical leadership in client-facing engagements, and collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Actively contribute to the codebase and solve critical backend issues.
- Manage and mentor backend engineers through code reviews, performance evaluations, and 1:1s.
- Drive backend architecture design, implementation, and optimization.
- Provide technical leadership in client-facing engagements.
- Ensure backend systems remain secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Define and enforce engineering standards across the company.
