As a Backend Developer at ASTUTEX, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, you will contribute to building and enhancing our API and socket-based solutions. Your expertise in Node.js and MongoDB will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, efficient, and secure backend functionalities.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms.
• Work closely with front-end developers and stakeholders to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration with the front end.
• Implement real-time communication solutions using sockets for efficient data transfer and synchronization.
• Conduct code reviews, identify and resolve bugs, and optimize application performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to backend development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience working as a Backend Developer, with a focus on Node.js and MongoDB.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and its modern frameworks, particularly Node.js.
• Experience building and optimizing RESTful APIs using Node.js frameworks.
• Proficiency in MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, including data modelling and query optimization.
• Familiarity with socket-based communication protocols (e.g., WebSocket, Socket.io).
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
