We are looking for a kind, engaging, and imaginative Baby Ballet Teacher to lead gentle ballet classes for toddlers (ages 18 months – 4 years) and their caregivers, hosted in a care home setting. These intergenerational sessions aim to nurture creativity, coordination, and joy in young children while also providing social connection and uplifting moments for care home residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver weekly Baby Ballet classes in a care home setting, combining music, movement, and storytelling in a developmentally appropriate and inclusive way.
Create a nurturing, welcoming space for both young children and elderly residents to observe, interact, and occasionally participate if appropriate.
Use props, songs, and simple choreography to keep children engaged and excited.
Encourage gentle intergenerational interaction through smiles, waves, shared activities, and opportunities for connection between children and residents.
Work collaboratively with care home staff and your own class assistants (if applicable) to ensure a smooth and safe class environment.
Adapt to the needs and pace of both children and residents, showing empathy, patience, and flexibility.
Provide a positive, joyful experience that brings light and movement to the care home community.
