AVID is an elective class that prepares students in the academic middle for success in college and the career of their choice. Under the guidance of the AVID teacher, the role of an AVID tutor is to promote a collaborative environment in which small groups of students discuss higher-level questions in order to develop a greater understanding of content from their classes.
