Position Overview
As an Industrial Automation Engineer at Thingslista, you'll drive the design, programming, commissioning, and support of advanced automation and IIoT solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work with diverse technology stacks—PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, Servo, and microcontroller systems—across challenging industry verticals such as Material Handling, Pharma, Food Packaging, and Process Automation.
What You’ll Do
· Interpret client requirements and design custom control systems
· Program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, Servo drives, and embedded microcontroller units
· Design and create electrical/control schematics and panel layouts
· Simulate, test, troubleshoot, and optimize control logic for reliability, safety, and performance
· Provide on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support at client sites (including interstate travel)
· Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project teams
· Document systems, code, and testing processes thoroughly
· Support clients and provide training for solution adoption
Qualifications & Experience
· B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation & Control or related field
· 1–5 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC systems, or SPM
· Proven hands-on experience with microcontroller-based solutions (e.g., Arduino, STM, ESP32)
· Proficiency in:
o PLC: Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Delta o SCADA: Siemens WinCC, TIA Portal, Schneider EcoStruxure, Indusoft, Movicon o HMI: Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, Proface
· Embedded systems expertise: sensor interfacing, data acquisition, edge computing
· Strong understanding of mechanics, machine processes, and control logic
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
· Familiarity with IIoT protocols: MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA (preferred)
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
