Role Overview
This Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Nurse Officer position offers a rewarding opportunity to shape Australia's future defence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting preliminary assessments and providing guidance to Medical Screeners.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct telephone vetting and in-person preliminary assessments
Ensure all preliminary assessment information is entered accurately into the electronic health record
Review online medical history questionnaire and extract additional information while taking notes in the online medical records system
Medical file reviews
Archive record identification and requests
Extant reports requests as needed
Monitoring maintaining equipment used during preliminary assessments
Follow established policy and procedures within a well-defined Defence framework
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to navigate electronic health records/systems and other relevant ICT systems
Minimum 3 years' broad medical experience in a health system comparable to Australia
Experience within a Defence or on-base setting or in the delivery of pre-employment medicals would be highly desirable
Current Working With Children Check
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAD00+) certification
