Design Engineer – CATIA V5
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3–6 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with strong experience in CATIA V5 for automotive component design and development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and a good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5
• Work on Part Design, Assembly, and Sheet Metal modules
• Design and develop automotive components (plastic & sheet metal)
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation
• Perform reverse engineering activities when required
• Ensure design compliance with GD&T standards
• Support stack-up analysis and tolerance study
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design validation
Technical Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5
• * Part Design
• Assembly Workbench
• Generative Shape Design
• Sheet Metal Design
• Drafting
Good Knowledge Of
• * 3D Modeling & 2D Drafting
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Engineering drawing interpretation
• Automotive design concepts
Educational Qualification
• BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma in Mechanical / Tooling (if relevant experience)
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Experience in automotive industry
• Hands-on exposure to plastic and sheet metal components
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible to work in shifts
