Position
Associate Head - Retail Credit Risk

Job Purpose
The role is responsible for Manage the credit risk of Bank’s retail lending portfolios to achieve long term sustainable growth. Role will be responsible for defining and maintaining the retail credit risk appetite framework and retail lending policies.

Managerial Responsibilities
• Coordinating with Retail Credit team and Understand the risk associated with Retail credit.

Functional Responsibilities
• Implementing the Credit Risk Management Policy of the Bank for Retail Credit portfolio so as to align it with the best Risk Management practices.
• Putting quality analytical architecture for retail credit as per Credit Risk Management Policy of the Bank
• Governance of retail credit risk models
• Building, maintaining and reporting of retail credit pooling models and computing PD, LGD and EAD for different pool types.

Job Specific Skills
• Statistical concepts of analyzing Credit Risk data and developing economic & IRB capital VaR model, and retail score card models
• Sound knowledge of Credit Risk Appraisal
• Build and lead the team of Retail Credit Risk Cell

Profile
• Understanding and experience of Statistical Concepts (various types of regression, classification, clustering etc) related to credit risk models.
• Having knowledge in the areas of ICAAP and stress testing.
• Implementation of qualitative and quantitative requirements of Advanced Approaches of Basel II guidelines, on Credit Risk Model governance.
• Having understanding of modeling of PD, LGD, EAD as per Basel II credit risk guidelines.
• Skill and knowledge of data management (cleaning, transformation, tabulation, aggregation etc.) of data for statistical analysis.

Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience of working in a banking / financial institution out of which minimum 5 years in development and maintenance of retail credit risk model and related analytics.

Educational qualification

The candidate must be minimum graduate from a recognized university.
Over and above the said qualification, the candidate must possess
minimum one of the following qualifications, as well:
• Financial Risk Management (FRM) from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
• Professional Risk Management (PRM) from Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA)
• Graduate in Statistics from a reputed Institute (ISI, IISc, IGIDR, etc.).
• MBA with specialization in Banking and Finance
