We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Assistant Restaurant Manager to join Pavoni Plus Pty Ltd, part of Maestro Hospitality, and play an important role in the continued growth of Cibaria Manly.
Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help lead a large, dynamic front-of-house team, drive exceptional service standards and contribute to the successful delivery of everything from busy daily services to group dining, private events and special occasions.

The Opportunity
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll be highly visible on the floor, leading from the front and helping create a confident, polished and energetic service culture.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership across key areas of the operation, including:
Leading and motivating the front-of-house team through busy services
Supporting the Restaurant Manager with operational planning and venue performance
Coaching, training and developing team members to reach their potential
Creating memorable and genuinely warm guest experiences
Supporting rostering, labour management, stock control and service efficiencies
Monitoring standards across presentation, cleanliness, safety and compliance
Assisting with budgets, KPIs, reporting and daily financial procedures
Working collaboratively with both the FOH & BOH teams to execute exceptional service
Coordinating and delivering group bookings, private functions and special events
Ensuring events and services are executed seamlessly and to Cibaria standards
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, communication and the overall guest journey
About You
You’re a confident hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, understands what exceptional service looks like and knows how to bring the best out of a team.
Ideally, you will bring:
At least 2 years’ experience in an Assistant Manager or senior FOH leadership position
Strong restaurant operations experience, ideally within a high-volume or premium venue
NSW RSA
Valid working rights in Australia
Experience with SevenRooms or other similar online reservation systems
Sound knowledge around Italian food & beverages
Experience coordinating events, functions or large group bookings
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
Strong leadership, coaching and team-development skills
A calm, professional and solutions-focused approach under pressure
Commercial awareness, including confidence working with budgets, labour, KPIs and reporting
Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
The flexibility to work across days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Completed Hospitality studies or equivalent industry experience
