What you’ll be doing
As an Assistant in Midwifery, you’ll work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Midwife/Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to mothers and babies. You’ll play an important role in supporting daily care needs and contributing to positive patient experiences.
Assist with activities of daily living to promote comfort and independence
Support the maternity team in providing high-quality care to women and newborns
Recognise and promptly report changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising midwife/nurse
Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health standards
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and respectful team culture

Selection Criteria:
Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Midwifery (second year or thereafter).
Demonstrated clinical work experience in midwifery or clinical placement experience.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Commitment to continuing professional development.
Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative.
