Are you looking for a rewarding career with an organization that puts people first? Credit Union of Georgia is looking for a talented Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) to help our Hickory Flat branch.

The ABM is responsible for overall success of the lending function in the branch as well as delivering exceptional support and service to our members. The ABM spends the majority of time driving lending operations including taking applications, processing loan documents, and cross selling other products and services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for upholding and adhering to Credit Union of Georgia brand standards including following all of the steps of our unique member experience and to Engage, Ask, Solve and Excite and deliver top level member service every time.
Meets or exceeds individual and branch loan production and ancillary product goals consistently.
Responsible for loan applications and reports necessary to process loans. These include credit reports, income verifications, title and lien searches and processing credit verification requests. Seeks additional loan opportunities by mining credit reports of new and existing members in order to obtain additional loan accounts. Prepares documents as authorized to properly secure different types of loans and extensions.
Supervising and developing/training each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employee’s performance. Set the example of professional behavior and hold employees accountable for their performance, attitude and behavior. Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives.
Assists the Branch Manager in the overall management of the branch – may step in for Branch Manager in their absence including but not limited to:
Participating in the interviewing process
Day-to-day decision making on branch operations
Performs opening and closing procedures and leads member service including handling exceptions, complex issues and complaints, in the absence of the manager.
Prepares documents as authorized by lending officers to properly secure different types of loans and extensions.
Review completed loan packages as they are received to ensure the package complies with the credit union’s original approval prior to funding. Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
Proactively seeks and takes advantage of every opportunity to cross sell GAP, Warranty, and Credit Shield insurance products.
Communicates lending decisions in a manner that provides prompt and efficient service to members and branch employees.
Assists the Branch Manager to ensure that the branch is providing member service to our members by maintaining a service culture management style.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Abides by, and maintains current and thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
Completes all assigned training assignments within designated timeframe.
Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
Experience

At least 2 years lending and customer service experience at a bank or credit union.
5+ years practical work experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses

High school degree or GED required.
Some college preferred.
