Assistant Accounts Manager UK accounts at Adequate Bookkeeping Services

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join a stable and growing client base in the UK. This role will involve managing company accounts, company tax returns, VAT Returns, and payroll matters to ensure full compliance with the UK tax authorities and regulatory bodies. You will also be flexible and willing to complete complex accountancy work yourself. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UK tax work and be ready to take the challenges and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities
• Completion of year-end accounts, and Corporation Tax Returns.
• Co-ordination and management of payroll, VAT, and general administration duties.
• Meeting statutory deadlines for VAT, Payroll, Accounts, Company and Personal Tax Returns.
• Handling VAT and other taxation related transactions as per the standards
• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Managing client relationships to build a strong rapport that results in client loyalty and satisfaction.
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes

Key Experience:
• Qualified accountant with at least 2 years of experience in delivering accounts to UK based clients.
• Experience working with Xero/ QuickBooks/ Sage/ Exact Accounting software.
• Experience preparing Financial statements, Corporation tax returns.
• Experience managing relationships with small business clients.
• Strong communicator.

Qualifications
• 2+ years' of UK accounting experience
• 4+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
