Job Type: Full Time
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The Assistant Accountant will support the accounting lead by performing various clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software with precision and speed.
Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Support in managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, making payments, and tracking outstanding balances.
Expense Reporting: Compile and review expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required by senior accountants or management.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and answering phone calls.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Languages: Fluent in English and preferably Mandarin
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as an assistant accountant or bookkeeper.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.
Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and find solutions.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Integrity: High level of integrity and trustworthiness in handling sensitive financial information.
