Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as an Asset Accounting Specialist within our Investment Management team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

As a Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Specialist, you will be a part of a high-performing and results-driven team with a focus on process, diligence, and accuracy. Your financial acumen will make a real difference to real people at ALDI.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, configure, and implement Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in SAP S/4HANA for various initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and organizational objectives.
Collaborate with project managers, financial analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements for WBS setup, ensuring comprehensive documentation and clarity of project scopes.
Understand and apply IFRS16, IAS18 IAS16 principles to real-life transactions.
Monitor and maintain the accuracy of WBS elements, ensuring compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.
Troubleshoot and investigate any discrepancies by liaising with various stakeholders to reach solutions in a timely manner.
Ensure the integration of WBS with cost management, budgeting, and forecasting processes within SAP S/4HANA.

Qualifications
Demonstrated experience within an asset accounting environment.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation or equivalent from other countries or currently studying towards accreditation.
Previous experience in financial management, project control, or accounting with a focus on Work Breakdown Structures and SAP S/4HANA.
Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation.
