Job Description
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives and market opportunities in the solar energy sector.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of B2B sales representatives, ensuring performance excellence through coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new commercial and industrial B2B prospects, focusing on solar PV system installations for businesses, manufacturing facilities, and institutional clients.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise accounts, including facility managers, sustainability officers, and procurement teams.
• Collaborate with technical and project development teams to deliver customized solar solutions that meet client energy needs and financial objectives.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to refine sales approaches and improve win rates.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals, financial models, and ROI analyses to support client decision-making.
• Track and report on sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, and KPIs using CRM platforms to ensure transparency and data-driven planning.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the sales and project handoff process.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B sales, with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets in the renewable energy, clean tech, or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology, financing models (PPA, lease, cash purchase), and incentive programs (e.g., ITC, state rebates).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multi-stakeholder decision-making and long-term contracts.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, forecasting, and client presentations.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Experience in team leadership and performance management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with sustainability metrics and ESG reporting is a plus.
