Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber/Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. This role offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, providing essential services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will develop technical skills in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance while working under the supervision of experienced professionals.
This position is a paid opportunity designed to foster growth in the plumbing trade and related fields such as mechanical systems, carpentry, HVAC, and welding.
Duties
• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install plumbing components
• Perform basic measurements and calculations using fundamental math skills for precise fitting and alignment
• Support the assembly of plumbing systems within building frameworks, including carpentry integration when necessary
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues or deficiencies in plumbing installations
• Assist with welding or other fabrication tasks as required for specialized piping or fixture setups
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with team members on larger projects involving construction, HVAC systems, or maintenance tasks
Skills
• 2 years Experience (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and basic building mechanics
• Experience or familiarity with carpentry, HVAC systems, or construction environments is a plus
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pipe cutters, and pliers; familiarity with power tools is advantageous
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work
• Knowledge of welding techniques and maintenance procedures is beneficial but not mandatory
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship
• Willingness to learn new skills related to plumbing, mechanical systems, and construction trades
